After 3 story arcs, I'm finally getting this beast a good and proper ending. characters die, Characters get resolutions, characters die, questions are answered, characters die, it takes place 30 years after the events of the first three, ect ect.

I was half-tempted to make the ending take place a few hundred years after the first books, but in all honesty I want people to see where the cast ends up; who they grew into and what choices they have made after their respective journeys.

The finale so far, features a currently unnamed female protagonist, accompanied by Hezekiah (a crippled man), and Zahz (the very same. Solomon's old faithful fungoid companion; un-aged through the years).
The heroes are witness to cataclysmic events, as they learn what really happened with the White-Butterfly incident, and go to inform as many as they can about the ugly truth. Not everyone is enthusiastic about their discovery, and face opposition from all ends. In a world where a horrifying truth cause masses to go mad, the three find solace and brotherhood in old allies.

oh hey, not bad a description...

Too often I see series' finales as "everyone unites to fight a common, powerful, enemy." It's something I kinda get annoyed with to the point, I decided write the ending of Diende as a twist on that very premise.

It starts, looking just like the aforementioned scenario, but the three protagonists learn that the apocalyptic forces are angelic and primordial in nature. what is about to happen essentially *needs* to happen. Demonic-based forces , of course, do not want this change to occur and subtly incite masses into forming forces to oppose the Primordials. Few accept the truths, but the majority see it as "if they are causing destruction, it must be bad!". Many more, see the truth, but decide that (after watching too much anime I guess) the universe belongs to mankind now, and that humanity will guide it own destiny ect ect. the majority of the populace eventually forms a makeshift army of sorts ( Knights of Man? Shield of Humanity? Liberation Coalition?) that *think* they are fighting to rid the universe of God and let Man be the sole universal rule. Little do they know, everything they do, is under the guiding whispers and utterings of demonic beings who are desperate to stop Primordial forces from undoing the White-Butterfly.

The story is a bit of a metaphor for humanity trying uselessly to fight God, only to hurt themselves in the process. A story that defiance based on emotion, pride, and faith-in-self fails. That, and I absolutely love the twist on the cliche’ “all the factions unite to fight a single foe” story." Hoho! It was the good guys you were resisting the whole time!"

the plot turn-around equivalent of Warcraft lore going "turns out the Olde Gods were the good guys!"..."The Gravemind was right!"..."The Overmind was a pawn to a greater good!"

Plus who doesn’t want to read about toothed-tentacles popping out of fissures to rip apart demons? Tube-Oceans forming in the sky? The secrets of The Daughters? What is the Carnifex? What is the Ovvscolofex? See Vaddon as a jolly old warrior-king hanging out in the woods? learn what The Frozen Womb was all about anyway?

So once Diende is done, I've been beating back and forth what project to pick up and, riding on my wave of Revelation-esque themes, I was thinking of reviving Onustus' story. One from 2010, that never gained enough traction to gain a working title. it's essentially "dystopian future, but mankind is ruled by pantheon of gods. one god learns of a Primordial Truth, and rebels." Naturally, the pantheon doesn't like the idea of people (or one of their own) worshiping some ancient God that desert-dwelling shepards used to speak of, and conflict arises.

Onustus won't be some beast-mode being like [Zeus] or [Odin], but a clever "creator" being, who's strength rests in his designs and mastery of the biological.

What do you guys think? Onustus keep his old name? new name? thoughts overall? GIMME YO' FEEDBACK CUZ I'M SLEEP DEPRAVED AND FEELIN' LIKE WRITING

Been a bit too focused on Deep Eden. Will swap back to Diende; it's supposed to be my big project after all 0-o Not to mention I should pay more attention to Uuzarus

Ever since I started reading the Dune series, I've been re-thinking how to tell Diende's overarching story, and have decided to re-write the main plot, so it becomes 3 separate stories that intertwine to reveal the big enigma that is the Diende world itself. ever since I moved the plot of part two from Vaddon, to Tiberius and Mercy, I realize that more of the world can be better revealed through the eyes of different protagonists. Hopefully it will give it a more grand and epic feel.

I had planned on starting a new series and naming it "Ache" , yet the story never became deep enough for me to really invest much more into it.

...so instead of tossing it entirely, I shall recycle it and make it into a Diende side story of sorts... Plus Ache is too good a title to give up.

So am currently working on "Diende:Ache". A story following Tiberius, Mercy, and the young lady "Trauma" through a more urban setting..... and by urban I mean a sideways city.

Because Khor (my initial Carnimancer) is more of a...fanfic character, and I love his design And concept, I will somewhat recycle and augment him into Tiberius. That way I get to really use the character in an original setting.

.....though maybe I should finish up the original Diende segments now that its started....
